Tagaytay is undeniably my family's ultimate home away from home as we never seem to get tired of visiting this enchanting city back and forth. The cool and breezy wind always reminds us not to go back to Manila anymore. Oh gosh, if only we can do that forever - it will be surely such a wonderful moment! But anyway, let's all go back to my review...
It's not actually my first time to eat in this resto but we managed to dine in again here because my sisters were getting tired of eating in our favorite restaurant just nearby Leslie's. In addition, I also insisted to change locations since I'm getting tired of the other restaurant already. It was a great decision by the way as my tastebuds experienced another food trip in Tagaytay.
Here's what we ordered:
Leslie's Special Bulalo - Hmmm girls, I think I need to take back my word from my previous post as I now believe that Leslie's has now perfected the ultimate bulalo soup in the face of the earth! Yeah, the sweet tasting soup went very well with the rice, the sinful bone marrow, crunchy string beans and the lettuce. They were such a divine to taste! The soup was super satisfying too since we managed to ask for 3 rounds of soup refills! Grabe, nakakahiya pero we just loved to sip some soup talaga. ;)
Mixed Vegetables in Coconut Milk with Seafoods - Honestly, I really don't know if this was the exact name of the dish but I've got to tell you that it was super yummy too. The crunchy vegetables just nailed the taste so I hope when you ordered here they'll offer the same freshest ingredients too. I guess the dish became pretty interesting because of the fresh string beans, pork cubes and large shrimps. It really blended very well with the coconut sauce.
Crispy Pata - Well, what can I say? True to it's name - the crispiness of the skin makes you crave for more. I also assumed that the taste was just comparable to it's nearby restaurants. But anyway, I avoided on eating too much of this one since it's very bad for my heart. Let's say I've eaten 2 or more bites so that I can write something for this review.
Calamares - Nothing spectacular on this dish since I have tasted a similar blend of ingredients before. The calamares just paled in comparison with the our other choices of dishes that day. Honestly, I am not really a fan of squids and so as the mayonnaise dip. However, I will advice you to eat them with their vinegar concoctions since it will taste much better.
Buko Pandan - Yep, this might be a simple dessert but Leslie's just happened to have one of the most heavenly buko pandan desserts in the country! The buko pandan did not taste too sweet or too bland for me. It's just right for my tastebuds. Two thumbs up talaga!
